Matthew Hargarten is the Vice President of Campaigns for Coalition for Community Solar Access (CCSA) where he oversees all state legislative and regulatory campaigns to open, expand, and protect competitive community solar programs across the country. His responsibilities include developing and implementing campaign strategies and managing budgets and a team of regional directors, local lobbying consultants, and public affairs and communications professionals to pass legislation and improve community solar regulations in more than twenty states. Matt brings over 20 years of government affairs, campaigns, public affairs, and communications experience to CCSA. He’s held senior public affairs roles at a wide variety of public institutions, Fortune 500 companies, and global consultancies where he was directly responsible for developing and executing public affairs and government affairs strategies to improve organization’s reputations and achieve targeted outcomes with a wide variety of stakeholders including government officials, investors, business leaders, and employees.
