As the Solar Energy Industries Association’s (SEIA) Director of Standards Development, Jennifer creates and publishes certification standards, best practices, and guidelines for the solar and energy storage industry. SEIA’s standards set objective criteria to assure that solar and storage systems have been ethically, sustainably, and responsibly sourced, manufactured, transported, installed, operated, and recycled.
In addition to Jennifer’s standards development work at SEIA, she also serves as the President of the Board of Directors of the Illinois Solar Education Association and participates in multiple clean energy working groups. Her professional career includes a wide range of experiences developing, evaluating, and managing a variety of renewable energy programs, ranging from workforce development to sustainable solutions for end-of-life equipment. Through these efforts, she has had the opportunity to work with solar installers, manufacturers, distributors, community college technical training programs, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, local electrical inspectors, environmental justice and community-based organizations, U.S. Department of Energy national laboratories, and state agencies.
