Steve Gartner is a Sr. structural engineer with over 25 years of experience in power generation and industrial facility design. He has been designing wind and solar PV structural systems for the past 17 years. Steve has lead root cause analysis of wind turbine foundation failures and solar tracker and solar fixed tilt structural failures. In addition, Steve has been involved with a number of innovative ways to efficiently design solar structures that take into account the unique aspects of solar PV systems. Due to this work Steve was part of the team that won the Feasibility Award in the 2018 ASCE Innovation Contest for solar pile optimization. In addition Steve is currently serving as Chair of the ASCE/SEI Solar PV Structures Committee.
