In today’s complicated global landscape, the dangers of an attack from an advanced persistent threat are no longer confined to traditional IT-centric infrastructure, it has become increasingly important to focus on how to incorporate and leverage existing security policies and strategies to protect their Operational Technology (OT) assets. An essential part of any successful vulnerability management program is to have real-time insight into the posture of OT assets against any known vulnerabilities. How does an organization make risk-informed decisions on how, when, and if they remediate OT assets from a variety of threats? Furthermore, how do you design for flexibility in the business vs the need to patch in a timely manner?
This conversation will feature Exelon and West Monroe as they discuss what considerations were made to design a future state that balances people and process needs, technology enhancements, and efficiency as they are worked together to enhance their OT patching program. Attendees will learn about accurate and sustainable asset management practices, how to evaluate current cybersecurity measures to enhance and expand the future state, and how to develop and execute technical procedures to give detailed cybersecurity actions for various device types.
