Andy Carr is currently the Senior Technical Coordinator for the Carpenters International Training Fund (CITF). He is married with one daughter.
Beginning his apprenticeship in 1999 in Evansville, Indiana, he worked as a Carpenter on a wide variety of projects varying from Water Treatment facilities to Health-care facilities. He transitioned from Carpenter/Foreman to his role as an instructor in 2006 for the Indiana/Kentucky/Ohio Regional Council of Carpenters.
Andy previously served as President of Carpenters Local 224, along with various leadership positions within the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and the labor industry, as well as many local and community organizations.
In 2016, he moved to Las Vegas to work with the Carpenters International Training Fund. He and his team work diligently to develop and facilitate training that fits the current and future needs of the Construction Industry and to ensure that the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and its over 500,000 members have the skills necessary to make every project successful.
Andy also works closely with the 250 local training centers across the United States and Canada to ensure their training programs and Apprenticeship Standards meet the high standards that the industry has come to expect from the United Brotherhood of Carpenters.
