Leah Crochet Monroe is an energy distribution leader with nearly a decade of experience specializing in planning and renewables. As a power engineering expert, Leah focuses on distribution planning, supporting renewable generation and the future of the modern grid.
Leah is dedicated to enabling utilities and developers to maximize the benefit of renewables and encourage their continued growth. During her time in the power engineering space, she has devoting much of her time to distribution planning, as well as spending time in distribution protection and relaying for CenterPoint Energy in Houston, TX. Since joining ICF, Leah focuses on supporting renewable generation and the future of the modern grid. Her work includes projects for utilities of varying sizes through distributed energy resources (DER) interconnection studies, long-term system planning, system modeling, and grid optimization.
Leah received her bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Texas at Tyler and is a licensed and certified Engineer In Training (EIT) professional.
