David Mindham is presently a Senior Manager covering Regulatory and Market Affairs for EDP Renewables. In that role, he oversees RTO strategy for the central U.S., including ERCOT, SPP, and MISO. He also coordinates with FERC, state regulators, and various trade associations. Before his current role, he has held positions in RTO strategy, FERC strategy, and transmission planning at ITC Holdings Corp. He has successfully negotiated interconnection agreements that have brought more than 3 GW of resources online throughout the Midwest. He has a broad experience in engineering, policy, finance, and economics.
He has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University, an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Michigan Tech University, a Master’s focused in Management from Harvard University Extension School, and is presently in the Masters of Applied Economics program at Johns Hopkins University. He is a Senior Member of IEEE, a registered Professional Engineer in Michigan, and a Project Management Professional. David lives in Northville, Mi, with his wife and two sons.
