Pearl Donohoo-Vallett is a senior manager of strategy at Pepco Holdings, responsible for a team that develops strategy and programs for climate and emerging technologies. Her team develops and advocates for positions on distributed energy resources including electric vehicles, load flexibility resources, distributed storage, V2X, virtual power plants, microgrids, and building electrification for Pepco, Delmarva, and Atlantic City Electric in regulatory and legislative forums. On a daily basis, you can find Pearl discussing policy with Commission staff, briefing PHI executive leadership, or asking her team “What do you call that grass between the sidewalk and the road?” Prior to joining Pepco Holdings, Pearl was a Senior Associate at the Brattle Group where she worked on a range of strategy issues across retail and wholesale markets. Pearl has two kids, a taste for hipster coffee, and a love of regency romance novels. She earned her doctoral degree in Engineering Systems from MIT, completed her post doctoral training at the Johns Hopkins University, and holds a mechanical engineering degree from the Franklin W Olin College of Engineering.
