To meet clean electricity goals, we need to expand the grid 60% by 2030; triple that by 2050. Weather and wildfire resilience is also a growing concern. Currently, utilities are building new overhead lines to increase power capacity and placing overhead conductors and replacing wooden poles with steel ones to mitigate wildfires and improve grid resiliency. Current approaches are effective solutions, but they are extremely expensive and require significant downtime. Our Composite WiRe Wrap doubles power capacity without exceeding sag limits, improves the resiliency of grid lines with no downtime, and at one-tenth the cost of current solutions. Our GridWrap restores and increases the structural integrity of deteriorated utility pools (wood, concrete, and steel). GridWrap, a safe and reliable, fire-resistant solution, retrofits and renovates utility poles, extends their lifespan, and improves their resiliency with no downtime, in the fastest way possible, and with minimal cost.
