Description and Background: The goal of this presentation is to teach project engineers, developers, EPCs, owners, operators, and investors on the technical (electrical and mechanical) considerations as they plan for future project augmentation. Augmentation is an often utilized strategy to help projects "pencil" during development and financing, but there are many factors that should be considered while planning for augmentation. This presentation will outline the available methods, including both AC and DC Coupled, as well as highlight the key benefits and risks / considerations for each.
