Description and Background: “I absolutely loved it! I officially accepted this as my official career and really hope to move up in the company...thank you!” -Javonte (PowerUp Cohort 1, Solar Installer I/Crew Lead)
The Solar Industry is at a point where it has a huge responsibility. A responsibility to not only provide our children and our families with a healthy and clean energy world, but also the responsibility of providing sustainable, successful, and defined career paths for those who work in the solar industry.
Through our PowerUp Academy and Apprenticeships, Youth and Pre-Apprenticeships, Veteran Support Programs, Internships focused on engaging underrepresented populations, we have ensured that our company is able to not only provide a productive and safe environment, but also create equitable opportunities for all within the solar industry.
This presentation will give real-life examples of successes we have celebrated through the IRA Era to help change lives through solar using DEI initiatives, employee focused practices, and clear and defined, competency-based career paths.
Through the guidance and inspiration of our CEO, we no longer aspire to just have a transactional relationship with our employees. We want to build relationships and careers.
