Sandhya is Co-founder and COO of Solstice, a wholly owned subsidiary of global energy infrastructure and investment leader Mitsui & Co. Ltd. that is dedicated to expanding access to clean energy to all communities. Prior to joining Solstice, Sandhya worked at Buen Power Peru, a social enterprise that distributes solar lanterns, water heaters and home systems to off-grid, high-altitude communities in Peru. Sandhya spent her early career working at Barclays investment bank, advising on and executing public equity transactions for companies across Consumer/Retail, Industrial, and Tech/Media/Telecom sectors. She spent two years in London, following Barclays’ acquisition of Lehman Brothers, helping to build out the equity capital markets team and launch the new business in Europe. Sandhya was also deeply involved in Barclays’ philanthropy work, managing volunteer programs with Endeavor Global, Women’s World Banking, and the nascent Barclays’ Social Innovation Fund. Sandhya was an Unreasonable Impact Americas Fellow, which supports growth-stage ventures to rapidly scale-up, while providing for job creation and mitigating key environmental issues. She holds a BBA from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management, where she received the Sustainability Certificate.
