Chris is a Houston-based partner in PwC’s Energy, Utilities, and Resources (“EU&R”) practice. He has over 18 years of experience in serving public and non-public EU&R companies.
Chris specializes in serving clients in the renewable energy, regulated electric and gas utility, competitive wholesale and retail electric and natural gas, and independent power sub-sectors. Chris has supported clients through capital market transactions and complex financial reporting and technical accounting matters, including business combinations, consolidations, equity method investments, long-lived asset impairments, goodwill impairments, derivatives and hedging activities, revenue recognition, leases, carve-outs, bankruptcies, segment reporting, discontinued operations, and SEC reporting.
Chris actively collaborates with Edison Electric Institute and American Gas Association on emerging matters impacting the regulated electric and gas utility sub-sector. Chris previously served in the Accounting Services Group in PwC’s National Office where he focused on a wide variety of EU&R industry matters and performed technical accounting consultations, authored thought leadership publications, followed standard setting activities, instructed training sessions on technical accounting and financial reporting topics, and presented at client and industry events, conferences, and webcasts.
Chris is a CPA in Texas and Maryland, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, a member of the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants, and a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.
