Silke Kirchner received her Ph.D. in Physics with a focus on Photonics at the Ludwig-Maximilian-University in Munich, Germany. She was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Rice University in Houston, Texas and the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) in Pasadena, California, where she was part of the Joint Center for Artificial Photosynthesis (JCAP) facilitating a Closed Carbon Cycle. As of 2018 Silke is a Product Manager for Digital Solutions in the Automotive Industry. She has taken active part in several automotive standardization forums, such as the International Committee for Display Metrology (ICDM), the German Flat Panel Forum (DFF), CharIn, and the Open Charge Alliance (OCA).
