CEO
Qmerit
Irvine, California, United States
After a successful start at Honeywell, Tracy became co-owner and CEO of Mesa Energy Systems Inc., a mechanical service and energy retrofit company in California. To support Mesa’s rapid expansion, in 1996 he co-founded FieldCentrix Inc., the world’s first wireless, web-based enterprise software for Field Service technicians to address the scarcity of labor. He sold Mesa to EMCOR Group in 1998 and became CEO of FieldCentrix. FieldCentrix was subsequently acquired by then-energy giant Enron on September 28, 2001, to become the foundation of ServiceCo. Enron would go bankrupt nine weeks later.
Tracy led a management buyout of the ServiceCo assets and relaunched as The Linc Group (TLG) in 2003. He received Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award (Western Region) in 2008 and was also recognized for service quality and technological innovation by Microsoft, which awarded TLG its top customer honor— the Overall Customer Achievement Award—in 2009.
ABM Industries acquired TLG in late 2010. After five successful years as EVP of their $1.2B Technical Services business, Tracy spun off a core team in 2016 to form Qmerit, serving as Founder, President, and CEO. Qmerit has become North America’s leading provider of implementation solutions for EV charging and other energy transition technologies, simplifying electrification adoption for residential and business markets. Qmerit’s network of 3,300 locations has installed over 269,000 EV chargers and other electrification technologies and is now expanding its business to the UK and Europe.
In addition to Qmerit, Tracy is Chairman of Raiven, Inc. as well as Chairman of a collection of Schneider Electric owned investments in the Electrification space.
Tracy received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from UCLA and completed the Executive Mergers & Acquisitions Program at the UCLA Anderson School of Management. He also carries C-10 electrical and C-20 mechanical licenses.
