Sushmita Jena is a Renewable Energy Researcher at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory since 2020. Her work is focused on solar photovoltaics adoption and cost reduction procurement pathways. She researches voluntary energy procurement pathways for large commercial & industrial and provides technical assistance to local & federal entities to help them procure renewable energy. She has a Master’s in Renewable Energy Technology and International Economics from Johns Hopkins University SAIS, Washington DC. She received her bachelor’s in business administration in India and has worked for a decade building products and solutions for the development sector in Sub-Saharan Africa & Asia.
