Connor Waldoch is the Director of Policy and Fundamentals at Black Mountain Energy Storage, a standalone utility-scale energy storage developer based in Austin, Texas. Connor leads the siting and analytics team as well as all regulatory and policy work and engagement at the state, utility, RTO/ISO, and federal levels - instituting workflows that span from API-driven power flow models to regulatory proceedings. Prior to Black Mountain Energy Storage, he led New York operations and then broader national regulatory and advocacy efforts at Leap, a distributed BTM energy platform; was a senior associate at Potomac Economics engaged in market monitoring and energy economic consulting domestically and abroad for both energy and environmental markets; and was a researcher in renewable energy economics at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Connor holds a B.S. in Environmental Science from the University of Illinois and Masters Degrees in Energy Policy and Environmental Science from Indiana University.
