Hanna Wolf is a recent masters student graduate from the polytechnical university of Oregon Institute of Technology where she emphasized her technical knowledge in renewable energy technologies and their environmental impact. This academic career provided her with various opportunities for hands-on experience on photovoltaic, wind, battery storage, wave, and other renewable energy system projects.
Hanna has joined the HDR team in support of electrical design to provide clients a well-developed product. Having begun her internship with the company within substation design, Hanna participated in a handful of projects, to include being the lead design engineer on a remote telemetry unit (RTU) replacement. Now joining the company as a Renewable Design EIT, Hanna strives to use her technical experience and passion for renewable energy system designs for clients across the globe.
In 2021, the Portland Business Journal recognized Hanna as one of the top 15 innovators under 25 for that year within the state of Oregon. This honor came after she and her project partner experienced success within the state-wide prototype-based collegiate innovation competition, InventOregon. As part of the Electerro team, Hanna designed and built a solar and wind energy tree that proved to be a successful stand-alone hybrid energy system. Demonstrating the knowledge she has gained from such projects, Hanna has authored and co-authored several technical papers and posters, including a presentation at the RMEL Transmission & Substation Renewables Conference in 2023.
