Darden Copeland, Founder and Managing Director, launched Calvert Street Group in 2009. He used his experience guiding voter and stakeholder targeting for presidential campaigns and utilized similar strategies to build support for companies seeking land use and regulatory approvals. In the past two decades since its founding, he has executed and managed corporate campaigns in 46 states and Canada. In addition to representing Fortune 500 companies in land development, aggregate, and solid waste industries, Darden also successfully helped manage the campaigns that resulted in the new stadium for Nashville’s Major League Soccer franchise, Nashville SC, and the new covered stadium for the Tennessee Titans. During his tenure, Calvert Street has also been involved in the renewable industry, helping clients site more than four gigawatts of utility-scale renewable energy. Calvert Street campaigns have garnered 54 national awards from organizations like the American Association of Political Consultants and Campaigns and Elections magazine.
