Data Scientist
Trimark Associates
Nahom Wodajo is a passionate data scientist with a mission to deliver comprehensive Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for PV + BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) sites. For the past three years, Nahom has been dedicated to refining performance metrics specifically for solar sites. Now, he is taking his expertise to the next level by extending his knowledge to PV+S (Photovoltaic + Storage) sites, an area where there is currently a lack of monitoring holistic performance.
Within his role at Trimark, Nahom's contributions are diverse and impactful. He actively engages in the development of KPI algorithms, conducts experimental setups, and analyzes data to offer valuable insights to customers. Through detailed reports and intuitive dashboards, he helps customers identify inefficiencies and optimize their PV+S sites for maximum performance.
Chirag Pachori has a strong interest in renewable energy and sustainability. He has been working on energy-related projects throughout his undergraduate in Electrical Engineering and master's in Energy Systems from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). He is driven and passionate about finding patterns by combining energy, economics, and data science knowledge. He is excited by the vast advancements in data-driven analytics and the opportunity to bring a meaningful impact by working in the renewable energy industry. Given this, it was inevitable to find his way as a Data Scientist at Trimark Associates, where he gets to work on hundreds of solar, wind, and storage sites.
At Trimark, he works on creating various forecasting, performance assessment, and energy loss evaluation. In his work, he has made calculations for the High Sustainable Limit telemetry requirement by CAISO and has developed data pipelines and computations for PV+BESS performance evaluation. When he's not at work, he enjoys reading, camping, photography, and trying out adrenaline-inducing activities such as skydiving, mountain biking, and river rafting.
