Jason O’Neill, Director of EV Business Development
Jason O’Neill represents Sunworks as their new Director of EV Business Development to provide turnkey installations of electric vehicle service equipment (EVSE) to commercial, residential, and municipal customers and has nearly a decade of experience in the EVSE industry. Previous experience in the built environment includes leading SES Green Solutions and Innovation Energy, sustainability and EV charging focused firms, and with Johnson Controls where he worked with federal agencies on HVAC and Building Controls projects. Prior to moving into the building industry, Jason served 11 years on active duty in the Navy as a co-pilot flying the EA-6B Prowler during multiple tours in Afghanistan, an instructor of Naval Science at North Carolina State University, and later as a Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Officer (METOC) at the Fleet Weather Center in Norfolk, VA. Jason graduated from Norwich University in 2005 with Bachelor of Science degrees in Environmental Science and Geology and in 2020, completed a Master of Professional Studies in Renewable Energy and Sustainable Systems (RESS) from Penn State. He holds the LEED Green Associate certification from the U.S. Green Building Council and the Certified Energy Manager (CEM) from the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE).
