Recommendations to Grow the National Clean Energy Workforce

The solar and storage industry is facing unprecedented hiring challenges. Meanwhile, it will take hundreds of thousands of new workers to enable the clean energy growth that’s anticipated as a result of the Inflation Reduction Act. The National Clean Energy Workforce Alliance has brought together over 500 organizations involved in all aspects of clean energy workforce development to align on a common strategy to grow the workforce for solar and other clean energy sectors in an inclusive way. In this session, leaders of the Alliance will share key recommendations for growing the pipeline of qualified solar and other clean energy workers, and highlight real-world examples on how these strategies have been effectively implemented. We’ll also present the latest findings from the National Solar Jobs Census covering workforce trends in the solar and clean energy industries.
