Efficient Management of Renewable Assets with Microgrid Controllers

We see more PV and battery systems entering the market which have the potential to reduce demand charges and time-of-use rates for project owners. But, to efficiently operate these technologies, sophisticated forecasting of renewable energy output and consumption profiles are needed. Furthermore, to ensure scalability and high penetration of these technologies, scalable software solutions are required. In this presentation, we will discuss the current status of model predictive controller (MPC) systems for operating DERs and showcase a real-world project.
