DEP has engineered a pioneering, scalable, multivendor DC Microgrid at a Federal Government center in Denver, Colorado, ingeniously integrating an existing 30kW solar array to a new DC microgrid by eliminating aging inverters and routing solar power directly to the building via a DC distribution bus. With 144 DC lights, and 20kWh of batteries, the system is managed by DEP's DC Controller and distributed via DEP's DC panel, marking a unique instance of local power generation, distribution, and consumption, while showcasing the adaptive potential of DC Microgrids.
