Monday, September 11, 2023
10:30 AM – 10:45 AM PDT
Location: Veronese 2501B, Level 2, The Venetian
Meg Egan, Control Systems Cybersecurity Analyst at Idaho National Laboratory, will discuss the current state of cybersecurity for renewable energy technologies, cyber threats and risks, and opportunities for improvement. As renewable energy makes up a growing portion of U.S. electricity generation, the cyber resiliency of these assets is also increasingly important. These technologies tend to be more digitalized and distributed than other generation sources, complicating cybersecurity and increasing risks. With the current level of growth in all sectors of renewable energy, now is a critical time to ensure cyber resilience is built into these technologies.
