Battery storage systems can tap into an increasingly lucrative array of value streams. Load flexibility capabilities unlock multiple bill-savings and revenue generation opportunities for batteries, including demand charge management (DCM) and demand response and other grid services programs. However, navigating the complexities of stacking these different value streams can be difficult, due to system sizing and load factors, baseline considerations and regulatory variations across markets.
Building a strong value proposition for battery storage is critically important to both the developers and owners of commercial and industrial (C&I) battery applications, and will have a major impact on future storage deployment and scalability in the C&I sector. This session will explain how to structure battery usage to capture the full economic value of the system. Battery storage developers, operators and owners will learn how they can implement strategies to successfully participate in both DCM and energy markets in order to maximize the revenue potential of their systems.
